J. STEVENS - MODEL 35. SINGLE SHOT PISTOL. 8" BBL. NICE BORE! MFG. CIRCA 1923-1942. CURIO/RELIC - .22 LR

Description:
Here is a very cool old collectible Stevens Model 35 single shot pistol. This is chambered in .22 LR and has an 8 inch barrel. The bore looks very good with crisp shiny rifling. The front sight is a Marble #2 and the rear is an unknown peep sight. These were built sometime between 1923-1942 roughly but an exact date cannot be specified. Everything seems to work well on the pistol besides missing a set of grips. So find a set of grips and you should be ready to go! I'm not sure if it's meant to do this but to close the barrel you have to push the ejector in a little bit first, otherwise this pistol works well and and has a good action with tight barrel fit to the frame. The barrel and frame are also a matching set and share the same serial number. Overall for a pistol of this vintage I would say that it would be a fun little project. There is some bluing left but most of it has thinned down to the metal.
