Wonderful, Very Early and High Condition Smith & Wesson 39 in its Original Shipping Box with paperwork.

Description:

Classic, very early production, S&W Model 39, Cal 9mmP, boxed with dated registration card and parts schematic/literature in correct box with matching label. Standard serrated ramp front sight, windage adjustable rear sight, safety/decocking lever, long extractor. Left side of slide with usual address reflecting manufacturer and registration. Right side of slide marked “PAT’S PENDING”. Frame with full 4 digit serial number/Model 39. As an early pistol there is no “-number suffix”. S&W logo on right side of frame and repeated on each of the inserted grip medallions. Fixed lanyard ring at base of backstrap. Correct magazine with 7 indicator holes and caliber/S&W marking on floorplate. Complete with numbered registration card. Schematic/literature, and shipping box with identifying markings on lid and wax penciled SN on base.

Condition:

EXC+ original condition with trace muzzle wear, thinning over crest of safety/decocking lever, and a few minuscule handling marks. Not thinning or wear on either front or back strap. Grips with light handling marks as carefully photographed. Body of magazine in comparable condition though floorplate scuffed with indentations. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Comparable condition paperwork. Box with scuffing. A wonderful and very early S&W M39 that should please any serious S&W collector.
