Smith & Wesson Model 41 22LR Heavy Barrel w/Box, Tools, Letter ca. 1963
Description: Excellent early production heavy barrel Smith & Wesson Model 41 22LR semi auto pistol with factory letter, matching box, two magazines, instruction sheet and tools. Serial number in the 46xxx range with factory letter stating this pistol was shipped to Kranse’s in San Diego, CA (which I believe is Triple K Leather now) in December of 1963. A first year production of the 5.5 Heavy Barrel configuration of the famous Model 41. This one retains the earlier frame, early oil stained fully checkerd grips, cocking indicator and usual high polish blue finish. Original finish is near perfect with a touch of wear on front grip strap. Shiny bore and perfect mechanics. Notice the matching box has the early insert without accessory cutouts. Instruction manual is the original 1960 dated variation. Not many of the heavy barrels made with the earlier frame.
