S&W, No 1, 2nd issue, .22 Short, CW Era Antique, SN: 18124

Description:
          Like todays 9mm and .357 concealed carry pieces this Civil War Era seven shot .22 short revolver was no doubt considered a great personal defense weapon. This small revolver remains in excellent condition. The bore remains in very good condition with strong rifling but light corrosion throughout. The original .22 short ammunition was black powder, very corrosive and low pressure. As a reminder it’s widely known not to shoot modern smokeless ammunition in these old guns. The barrel and frame serial numbers are matching but the perfect fitting grips do not match. This revolver was sent back to S&W for re-work & refinishing  Feb. 1916 as indicated by the five point star on the butt and the 2.16 marked on the L. frame. The finish remains in Exc. Condition with the blued parts 98% showing a slight high edge wear and a few freckles. The factory silver shows only one flake on the L sideplate. Overall this is pretty much as it would have appeared during the Civil War. Included with this historic S&W is an owner built lighted display case that can be wall hung if desired. The case features a Lexan sliding door and a remote controlled battery powered light.
This little S&W would make a great addition to your collection. Serial Number 18124, .22 Short with a  3¼” Barrel.

Photographs:
          It is easy to describe a NEW gun with pictures. Two blurry, poorly lit photos along with the description would suffice. Antique and Collectable firearms are rarely “new” condition. I make every effort to show the flaws in clear detail so that there are no “surprises”.
Remember that a beautiful woman in a dark room at 10-foot distance may look different close up in the sunlight with scars, wrinkles, and warts.
Notice:
ALL Federal, State, & Local firearms laws will be followed.  I will take NO shortcuts in the process of a legal sale or transfer, so please don’t ask.

Shipments are made via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail, Insured, with a return receipt. Packing, Shipping and Insurance cost for this handgun is $40.00.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged.  If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made.  Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded.  All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
 PAYMENT: 
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 4% processing fee.
 LAYAWAYS: 
A 20% deposit is required.  Balance is due in 30 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 40 days.  Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX: 
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyer’s responsibility.
