1980 Sig Sauer P6 (P-225) 9mm Pistol
Description: The Sig Sauer Model P6 is the military/police designation for the model commerically known as the P-225. The P6 features a single-stack magazine that makes the grip slimmer for easier concealed/holster carry, and also makes this pistol a perfect fit for a smaller hand. This pistol was imported by the C.A.I. company years ago as German State Police issued guns released to the commerical market. This pistol is serial number M449001 and was built by Sig Sauer in West Germany in 1980. The slide is stamped with a "NW", which denotes it's ownership at one time to the Nordrhein Westfalen State Police in Germany. The slide is also factory stamped with the model "P6", the date of manufacture "6/80", and the last 3 digits of the serial number "001". It comes complete with the original serial numbered box, owners manual, and test target. This Sig shows some holster & high edge wear but still retains 85% of the original factory finish. The bore is excellent in this pistol. It is bright and clean with no pitting or signs of erosion. The rifling still looks great with sharp lands and grooves. Everything works 100% like the day it left the factory on this Sig. The action is nice and smooth and it locks up tightly. The frame to slide fit is nice and tight with no wobble or rattle. The two-piece checkered black plastic factory grips are in good shape with no cracks or repairs. They show only some very small handling marks. These West German made Sig Sauer P6 pistols are well known for their great workmanship, reliability, and accuracy. This pistol would make an excellent shooter for your collection, as well as a home defense or carry pistol.
