 :     Ruger designed the SR1911 Koenig Competition Semi-Auto Pistol Model 6776 with input from world-champion competitive shooter, Doug Koenig, specifically for shooting in IDPA, IPSC, USPSA, Bianchi Cup, Pro Am Shooting, and Steel Challenge disciplines. The Koenig Competition model utilizes a hand-fitted SR1911 stainless steel slide and frame that results in a remarkably tight slide-to-frame fit. The frame features a black nitrated finish, a checkered front strap, and matching checkered mainspring housing. Hogue® Piranha G10 grip panels provide a solid hold. A flat-faced, match trigger and Koenig Shooting Sports low-mass hammer with competition sear and hand-tuned sear spring allow you to obtain the pistol's full accuracy potential. A competition barrel features a polished feed ramp, fitted barrel lug, target crown, and 1:16" slow twist rifling to increase accuracy with lightweight match bullets. An undercut trigger guard and extended beavertail grip safety provides a high hold to reduce muzzle flip. The adjustable and serrated target rear sight and fiber-optic front sight are neatly dovetailed to the slide. The slide has a black nitrated finish on the top to reduce glare; and precision-ground front and rear slide serrations provide a nonslip grip when loading or clearing the weapon. An ambidextrous safety and extended magazine release enhance user control.
