The 270 WSM is balitically similar to the very hot 270 Weatherby Mag but considerably more affordable to shoot, is a non belted (short magnum) which makes it 2 inches shorter than a balitically equivalent rifle in a long or standard action.

Receiver machined from solid-steel bar stock resulting in uniformity and strength. Cylindrical receiver design provides a solid bedding area in the stock for consistent shot placement. Recessed bolt face locks up inside the counter-bored breech of the 24" Stainless Steel bbl W/ Flutes which is surrounded by the SS receiver, forming “three-rings-of-steel” enclosing the cartridge case head for unparalleled strength. Integral extractor is set in a groove inside the rim of the bolt face, uniformly supporting the cartridge head. X-MARK PRO trigger, featuring super-tight tolerances and mirror-like surface finishes, it breaks like glass and is adjustable for trigger pull weight. Nice SUPERCELL pad."

It is unfired (test fired at the factory only). I do not think the bolt has ever been placed in the gun. It comes with a Remingotn Box with the bolt and rings but the box is not the correct box for this gun 

Dimensionally this is very simiar to the now also discontinued Mountain Rifles: slender in the wrist and forend, light and pleasant to carry.
