WW2 US Model 1911A1 Pistol by Remington-Rand
Description: Serial #1410197, .45 ACP, 5" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1943-44 manufactured pistol that has a correct "HS" High Standard barrel and retains 97-98% of the original parkerized finish on the slide and frame. There is some fading at the muzzle, along a few of the exposed edges and projections, as well as some additional minor blue loss on the breech-end of the barrel and on the slide lever and safety. A few very minor surface scratches are also present here and there along the slide and frame as well. The factory markings, "P" proofs, "FJA" inspector stamp, and Ordnance Stamp are still crisp and clear, and the red-brown Keyes Fiber Co. checkered resin grips are in very good shape with some flattening of the points and minor surface scuffs and handling marks at the butt on both panels. A single unmarked magazine is included. This is an excellent example of a wartime Remington-Rand 'A1 and would make a terrific addition to a collection. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
