Description:
Here we have a very nice Remington M1911 R1S semi auto pistol chambered in .45ACP caliber. The accuracy and reliability that have made the 1911 an American icon are reflected in this fine Remington. Features include a crisp trigger, dovetailed front and rear sights, precision-machined slide and frame, and available fine-checkered American walnut grips. The new Model 1911 R1S Stainless is truly the finest blend of exacting craftsmanship and out-of-box performance available today. Every element is produced with ultra-tight tolerances on equipment representing the height of modern technology. The result is a sweet-shooting advancement of a legendary design were more than proud to put our name on. The slide has sharply cut rear cocking serrations and a lowered ejection port. The R1S 1911 has most features that one would associate with a Mil Spec pistol (flat mainspring housing, trigger, hammer, and safety) but the sights are dovetailed both front and rear which is a very nice touch. There is also a small slot in the barrel at the rear of the chamber area as a loaded chamber indicator. This particular example is in very good condition exhibiting minimal handling marks and no dummy mark on the frame. Slide to frame fit is very good, cocking is smooth, trigger is crisp and the safety is snappy. Everything about this pistol is mint. There is one tiny mark on the top of the top diamond of the right hand grip panel but honestly they sometimes come from the factory with marks like this. This is a very finely made Remington 1911 R1S that would be a great everyday range shooter. Box and two magazines are included.
