Extremely Rare Tokyo Gas & Electric Baby Nambu Rig - Two Matching Mags
Description: This is an extremely rare Japanese Baby Nambu pistol rig as made by Tokyo Gas & Electric (TGE). In 1923 production transferred to TGE where only a small amount of Baby Nambu's were produced. They estimate that only about 100 per year were produced over the 6 years that TGE had the contract. Only 50 TGE Baby Nambu's have been recorded though. The serial range for the TGE production is 5900 to 6500 and this Baby Nambu is serial 6158. Further, this example still retains both of its original, matching magazines so it's likely that only a very small amount of comparable examples still exist. Everything on this pistol matches, except for the knurling knob. The magazines, grips, even the firing pin, are all matching (6158). The fact that the knurling knob is mismatched but the pistol still retains the matching firing pin is interesting, and would seem to indicate the knob was replaced for some reason closer to production. Strong, shiny bore. The grips have no notable cracks or chips. The listing is completed by a rare, original shoulder holster. The holster is in good condition, though it appears the center belt loop had its bottom stitching moved. Price: $14,500.00 Curio/Relic: Yes Handgun Caliber: 7x20mm Nambu Contact Seller |
