WF Bern 1929 Swiss Luger chambered in 30 Luger with a 4.75" barrel. 27,940 of these lugers were manufactured starting with serial number 50,001 to 77,941. This model has the uncheckered toggle knobs; grip safety, wide trigger, narrow trigger guard and a straight grip front strap and no stock lug. The top of the chamber is unmarked and the rear toggle has the "Swiss Cross in a Shield" marking. The barrel is correctly numbered on the left side of the shoulder and has a small Swiss proof. The underside of the barrel has the "Swiss Cross". The full serial number "61609", is found on the left side of the frame with a proof mark "+M". The serial number is again found on top of the rear toggle and the back of the frame has WF Berm initials in a circle. The front of the trigger guard has a "P" stamp. The right side above the trigger on the frame has the importer mark "SIMPSON LTD G'BURG IL". The grips are correct WF Bern brown Bakelite and slotted for grip safety. Comes with two thin plated magazine with Bakelite bottoms. Both magazines have a "P" stamp on the lower spine of the magazines. Comes with a shoulder strap leather holster marked "E.
