NAMBO TYPE 14 Semi-automatic Japanese military pistol in 8 MM caliber made in October of 1930 at the Tokyo Koishikawa arsenal, serial number 16501 with 4.76" barrel , matching serial numbers on the bolt, frame and trigger, fixed open sights, lanyard loop, small trigger guard and grooved walnut grips. Oh how I wish walls and guns could talk...this pistol in its 94 year existence could tell some interesting stories. The type 14 Nambu was used mostly by Japanese officers who had to pay for their pistols themselves. Nambu pistols were a symbol of prestige, often carried in fancy holsters, were used more as a means of ornament and status rather than for fighting. With this pistol being nickel plated, it would have fit the role perfectly ---pride and status. This pistol is very clean and the bore is glossy with light frosting, the right grip has a chip at the top. The grips and the entire pistol fit nice and tight...used but never abused...a nice addition to any Nambu collection. The price is $900 including UPS shipping to the FFL dealer near you.
