** SOLD ** 1953 Vintage CZ Model vz.52 Tokarev Pistol in 7.62x25mm Tokarev
** All-Matching BEAUTIFUL Pistol **
Description: If you have never held one of these, or if you have handled a CZ vz.52, but never fired one, you should do yourself a favor and buy one right now! These are serious pistols that are capable of a wide range of tasks beyond being a military sidearm for combat. The CZ vz.52 is a very handsome and fairly large pistol that is extremely well-made, supremely reliable, powerful enough to take out anything on 2 legs or 4 legs in North America, capable of exceptional accuracy, easy to field-strip and maintain, comfortable in the hand, and heavy enough to be very balanced and help mitigate felt-recoil exceptionally well. The 7.62x25 Tokarev cartridge it fires is a very high-velocity round with a bottle-necked rimless case, typically traveling between 1300 and 1700 feet per second, with some ammunition reaching 1800 FPS. Designed in Russia in 1929-1930 as a cartridge designed for the Russian Military's submachine guns and pistols, it was essentially a copy of the 7.63 Mauser cartridge used in the Mauser C96 Broomhandle. When you compare the 7.62 Tokarev to the 9mm (between 1000 to 1200 FPS), the .40 S&W (1100 to 1400 FPS), the.357 Sig (1200 to 1400 FPS), and even the .357 Magnum (1200 to 1600 FPS), the 7.62x25mm Tokarev is faster than them all. This translates to a superb ability to penetrate all manner of materials including armor, wood, cement, and steel, and can go thru soft tissue and bone with ease. Depending on the bullet type / design, it can either be made to flatten-out and transfer the maximum amount of energy to the target, it can be made to splinter into deadly fragments traveling in various directions, or it can be made to retain it's shape for maximum penetration thru armor, bone, and numerous hard materials. This is a versatile pistol. This example was made in 1953 abnd rebuilt by CZ in 1987. It looks to be unfired since the rebuild. The finish is 98% plus, the bore is mint, the action is slick and precise, and all of the controls are in perfect working order. There are no apologies needed for this beauty. As you can see from the pictures, it is as pristine and handsome as these get. The internals are just as pristine and free from visible wear or damage as the exterior. All of the factory markings are intact and legible, and the grips are in excellent shape and tight to the grip frame. This CZ vz.52 is a new pistol for all intents and purposes, and has many decades of reliable service still to go. It would be extremely hard to upgrade from this one in ANY respect, and is priced to sell.
