Description: This is a all visible numbers matching DWM P08 WWI 1915 dated DWM luger that was remarked with the 1920 control number after the signing of the Versailles treaty that limited the number of arms post war Germany was allowed in military and police service. These double dated Lugers were issued to the German Police.The top of the chamber area has the 1920/1915 markings, and it has the DWM markings on the toggle assembly. It has the standard WWI Crown over a script letter proofs on the right side of the barrel extension with, the extractor and safety marked GESICHERT and GELADEN. It is fitted with wooden grips and one numbers matching magazine, second mag has the later WWII aluminum base magazine. Gun comes with original vintage holster marked "Hamburg" with extra magazine and takedown tool. The whole rig remains in excellent condition with 85% original finish remaining. Numbered to gun Grips are very good with no cracks or chips, action is tight and functions as intended with stay open mechanism working well. Own a shooting piece of WWI and Weimar German Police history with its complete rig. Detachable Shoulder board stock for precision accuracy is available for this pistol at extra cost.
