1946 Danish Police Husqvarna M40 Lahti 9mm Pistol Complete Rig ** Nice Original Danish Police Lahti Rig! ** SOLD

Description:
In 1946 the Danish Military and Police ordered and recieved some 13,000 M40 Lahti Pistols from the Husqvarna firm.  These Danish guns all have the "D" serial number prefix (D for Danish), with 10,000 of these guns intended for the Danish Police falling between serial number D 5001 and D 16000.  The rear of the frame on these guns was stamped with the Danish crown over the initials "H.V." which stands for Haerens Vapenarsenal (Army Arsenal).  These Lahti M40's served the Danish police well for decades until being sold off as surplus.  This example is serial number D 7211 and was one of the 10,000 pistols used by the Danish Police.  It is in very good condition overall, has all-original finish, and all the numbered parts match.  It comes as a "rig" with an original holster, 2 extra original magazines, an original cleaning rod, and an original tool.  All of the controls work as they were desinged to, and the pistol is 100% functional.  These M40 Lahti's seem to be harder and harder to find each year with their values climbing higher and higher.  If you have been looking for a nice all-original and complete example for your collection this piece would be a superb choice.
