Synopsis: Wonderful Mauser P38, AC 43, FN Slide, Dual-Tone, German Military Pistol, 4222d, FB01205 Description: Extremely usual and highly desirable Mauser P38, 1 of approximately 4000 pistols assembled with a FN supplied ac/43 marked slide, this example a dual tone pistol with a correct Mauser accepted magazine. SN: 4222d. Cal: 9mmP. Standard configuration P38 with 5” barrel, drift adjustable front sight and fixed rear sight. Stacked address on the left side of slide that includes “ac” manufacturers code (even though supplied by FN), the date “43” and the serial number. Safety positions marked with a white highlighted “S” and a red highlighted “F”. The right side of slide with the usual three acceptances. The full serial number is repeated on the left side of the frame, left side of slide, under the barrel and on the locking block. Fitted with the correct black plastic grips and ‘P38” Mauser accepted Eagle/135 magazine. Condition: VG/EXC with light holster wear and the usual toned discolorations as frequently present on the dual tone pistols. Crisp original grips and magazine. Mirror bore with strong rifling.
