German P.08 Luger Pistol by D.W.M. (1920 Rework)
Description: Serial #3713b, 9mm Para., 4" barrel with a very good bore that has light freckling within the grooves. This is a double dated pistol (1917 and 1920) that has nearly all matching numbers (the trigger is numbered to a different gun) with the metal retaining 80-85% of an overall arsenal re-applied blue finish that has silvered at the muzzle and along the exposed edges and surfaces. The gripstraps have also turned to a dark plum-brown with specks of mild freckling, and there is a small but unobtrusive import marking on the underside of the barrel. The smaller parts have faint traces of straw color remaining, but are predominantly a dull mottled gray color. The checkered wooden grips are in good shape with light-moderate flattening of the points on either side. The pistol is housed in a moderately flaked, 1914 dated, brown leather holster with two unnumbered wooden base magazines and a proper takedown tool. This is a very good-near fie example of a World War I Luger that was reworked between the wars.
