Description: Synopsis: Bern, 1924, Swiss Luger, Holster 22249, I-1213 Description: Standard configuration Bern 1924 Luger with 4.75” barrel having drift adjustable front sight and fixed “U” notch rear sight. Blank chamber. Middle link with WAFFENFABRIK BERN. Inspection marking on left side of receiver. “P” release on front of trigger guard dated “56”. Full serial number under barrel and forward frame with the last two-three digits under the sideplate, barrel extension, on all three components of the toggle, trigger, and each of the grips. Scattered Swiss crosses in usual locations. Major components are rust blued with strawed take down lever, trigger, magazine release and ejector. Orginal checkered grips with prominent border. Correct unnumbered magazine with wood plug. Holster dated “23” with added magazine pouch (spare magazine not present). Condition: VG+ with holster wear and thinning as one might expect with military service use. Comparable condition parts, the strawing on takedown lever and the fire blue on the left grip screw having been enhanced. Comparable grips with sharp checkering, oil staining and a few handling marks. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG holster, the leather retainer for the forward shoulder strap D ring having been restitched.
