STERLING Arms Corp, Model PPL, RARE, .22 LR x 1 1/2”, c.1970

Description:
           This Sterling Arms Model PPL at first glance looks like a “chopped” Hi-Standard. This Stubby barreled .22 pistol was made in New York in 1970. Production started 10/2/1970 at serial number 500 and ended 12/20/1971 at serial number 882. A total of only 382 guns were shipped, this one is SN: 644. A rare gun as 1 of only 382 made.  
          Production was stopped because a problem with the 1½” barrel was found. The short barrel did not allow the projectile to become spin stabilized by the rifling and the bullets tumbled, affecting accuracy.      
          This pistol remains in excellent condition, 98% with some high edge wear on the slide. It is in good working condition and has the plastic SA marked grips mounted. It also comes with a set of Walnut grips and mounting screws.
          This is an opportunity to add a rare and unusual pistol to your collection.

SHIPPING:

FIREARMS:
          Modern firearms, post 1898, can only be shipped to a Type 01 Federal Firearms License address.
          C&R firearms, over 50 years old, can be shipped to a Type 03 Federal Firearms License address.
A signed valid license copy will be required for shipment to only the license address.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged.  If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made.  Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded.  All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
 PAYMENT: 
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 4% processing fee.
 LAYAWAYS: 
A 20% deposit is required.  Balance is due in 30 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 40 days.  Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX: 
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in-state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyers responsibility.
