Description: New Addition C. 1970s Hi Standard Supermatic Citation Military .22 Tgt. Pistol Offered here and just acquired is a very fine vintage 1970s product by High Standard Corporation-the most prolific target handgun manufacturer in the U.S. based right here in Connecticut. The High Standard Supermatic Citation Military Model is a .22 LR semi-automatic pistol renowned for its precision and reliability. Produced primarily in the 1960s and 1970s, this specimen features a 7-1/4”FLUTED barrel, adjustable rear sights, checkered walnut grips, and a gold-plated trigger. Serial numbers in the 2,400,000 range indicate production in the late 1970s. The "Military" designation refers to the grip design, modeled after the 1911's angle, while "Citation" denotes the chromed controls. The pistol. Serial number 2415221 is all original and in excellent condition. The pistol retains just about all of its original finish. The only wear appears to be some erosion of the gold plating around the trigger. Other than that the gun is a 99% condition. Just some dried oil showing in protected places which we will clean before shipping. In its original box with papers this is a great acquisition for the collector. Thanks for your bid.
