Synopsis: “Super Blue” High Standard, 104 Supermatic Trophy, Muzzle brake and Weights 1316797, FB00951 Description: Beautiful High Standard 104 Supermatic Trophy with 7.25in. fluted barrel complete with muzzle brake and both weights. One of the most charismatic of the space gun pistols, this example having been made in the mid 1960s. Left side of pistol marked with the caliber, model and ‘Hi-STANDARD”. The right side is marked with the model, serial number (repeated on slide and frame), and HS location in Hamden, Conn. Usual patridge front sight and fully adjustable rear sight with push button take down, gold plated safety and trigger, and checkered walnut grips, the left panel with thumb rest, each panel with the HS medalions. Disassembly shows both panels with full serial number in pencil. Complete with fully blued magazine with integral floorplate marked HI-STANDARD. Condition: Approximately 98% bright original blue, except for a spot of oxidation on the right side of the barrel, between the address flat lower barrel flute. Minimal bubbling of the gold plate on trigger. Virtually all blue on front and backstrap. EXC grips with slight oil darkening and crisp checkering. Magazine with mild insertional wear. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A stunning high polish “Super Blue” High Standard 104 space pistol from the mid 1960s.
