I am offering up an extremely rare non-NFA regulated H&R Handy Gun made in 1921. It bears the very low serial number of 11XX. This pistol was originally manufactured as a 28 gauge with 8" barrel. It is in overall very good condition. The barrel was handed over to a master machinist/gunsmith of sixty years experience along with a commercial 45 Colt/410 gauge adapter. The adapter was machined and PERMANENTLY installed in the 28 gauge barrel. By his own description, the barrel would be destroyed attempting to remove the adapter. In addition, he fabicated a custom front sight mount/base and installed a Lyman bead front sight. This pistol now is a perfectly legal-to-own handgun of the same classification of a Thompson-Center Contender in the .45 Colt/410 chambering. It has a rifled barrel that chambers both cartridges. I have fired this pistol extrensively with both. The original 28 gauge factory extractor was not altered, so the fired cases are extracted with a simple wood ramrod which I fashioned. The front sight mount was installed so it could be removed, if desired, and the original shotgun bead put back on. I have the front bead and will include it. This gun will ship to a regular FFL holder. NO SALES to California, New York, Massachusetts, or any other locality where its possession might be illegal!
