“AMAZONIA” Garrucha .320 Double Barrel DERINGER Pistol Brazil Argentina South American Cowboy Pistol from the 1930s-60s
Description: “AMAZONIA” Garrucha .320 Double Barrel DERINGER Pistol Brazil Argentina
South American Cowboy Pistol from the 1930s-60s
Here we present an “AMAZONIA” Double Barrel Deringer Pistol in .320 Centerfire, made circa 1930-1960 in Brazil or Argentina. These are similar in concept to Remington’s Double Deringer, except that the Amazonia features side by side barrels rather than superposed. These are associated with gauchos or South American cowboys on the plains in the two countries mentioned above.
The barrel is marked “AMAZONIA/CAL .320”. This one has some simple floral engravings on the frame.
The actions are strong. The ejector assembly is absent. The markings and engravings are clear. The bores are dark and dusty with age. The left grip has been exposed to a high heat and the bottom is partially melted. An interesting little Deringer pistol from South America!
