Description: Synopsis: Fantastic, Mauser C96, Early 1930 Commercial Pistol, 852261, FB00830 Description: Beautiful, high original condition, early production Mauser M1930 Commercial. SN: 852261. Cal. 7.63mm. Standard early Commercial with 5.25” barrel with fluted rails and slip in 50-1000 rear sight. Short extractor and universal safety. Top of chamber marked with three line Mauser address. Crown C/C/U proof on left chamber flat. Full serial number on left side of barrel extension. Left side of frame with the large Mauser banner. Three line Mauser address on right frame that includes “D.R.P.u.A.P". As typical for early 1930 C96s, virtually all components are brightly polished salt blued while many of the small components were still finished with a lusterous heat tempered fire blue including the extractor, rear sight assembly , bolt stop, trigger, and grip screw. Broadly serrated walnut grips. Original lanyard ring present. Condition: Excellent original condition with better than 98% bright salt blue. Minimal wear on each side of muzzle, tips of rails, and a light pinprick speckling on foward magazine well. No issues with the bottom of the floorplate and very strong blue on the grip straps. Comparable condition grips retaining most of the original varnish, scattering of light handling dings. Generally bright bore, light oxidation, easily discernable rifling. Perfect manual mechanics.
