CHINESE TYPE 54 Copy of Soviet TOKAREV TT-33 7.62x25mm SEMI-AUTO Pistol C&R VIETNAM WAR Era With “1966” Dated Frame
Description: CHINESE TYPE 54 Copy of Soviet TOKAREV TT-33 7.62x25mm SEMI-AUTO Pistol C&R VIETNAM WAR Era With “1966” Dated Frame Here we present a C&R Chinese Type 54 Semi-Automatic Pistol, made circa 1966 in Shenyang’s Factory 66. The Type 54 is the improved version of the Type 51 (Chinese copy of the Soviet TT-33) produced after the Korean War. The Type 51 was first adopted in 1951 and produced in Shenyang's Factory 66 using both Soviet and Chinese-made parts. In 1954, after approximately 250,000 pistols were manufactured, the designation was changed to Type 54 and the pistol used exclusively indigenous components. This type of pistol is commonly available in 7.62×25mm caliber, although some variants have been made in 9×19mm Parabellum. Though the QSZ-92 (Type 92) has supplemented the Type 54 in the Army, the weapon is still in service in some of the Chinese armed forces (such as the People's Armed Police and some People's Liberation Army troops) today. The Vietnamese used the Type 54 during the Vietnam War. Many Type 54 pistols were smuggled into Japan in a significant quantity, often for use by the Yakuza. The overall condition is good. Excellent action. The bore is bright and nicely rifled. Sharp markings throughout. Both grips are in good shape with little handling wear, with some chipping on the right grip. This example has been nicely refinished. “1938” dated slide. “1966” dated frame. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4-1/2 inches. Caliber: 7.62x25mm Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1200 #228023 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
