CASED SVENDSEN “Little Ace” .22 Short Single Shot DERINGER Pistol Modern
With Hobbyist Case and OLD COINS
Description: CASED SVENDSEN “Little Ace” .22 Short Single Shot DERINGER Pistol Modern With Hobbyist Case and OLD COINS Here we present a modern Svendsen “Little Ace” .22 Caliber Single Shot Deringer Pistol, made circa 1961 to 1973 in Itasca, Illinois. Erl Svendsen, the maker of this pistol, stated that “this gun is a replica of the scarce Ethan Allen garter gun of almost 100 years ago” and “that it is made out of genuine steel & bronze”. The earliest advertisement I could find on the little pistol was in “Guns & Ammo” magazine in the December 1961 issue. Erl called his company the Erl Svendsen Fire Arms Manufacturing Company, or ESFAC for short. Svendsen moved to Brownsville, Texas in about 1973 and made his last guns in that location. He eventually sold the rights to his guns to Herman J. Seminiano of Brownsville, Texas. Seminiano intended to continue manufacturing the pistols, but when he asked about the plans for the guns, he was told there weren’t any. All of Earl Svendsen’s guns were made by hand and were hand fitted. There were no interchangeable parts. The overall condition is good. The action functions (weak trigger spring). Semi-bright bore. Both grips are good and remain firm. Sharp markings. This example includes 8 cents made up of 3 Indian head pennies and one Buffalo nickel, and a small knife with a 2 inch bade. (The blade remains sharp and is marked “MP”). This firearm is classified as Modern. Barrel is 2 inches. Caliber: .22 Short Rimfire Standard Velocity Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL. This firearm is classified as Modern. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1200 #217798 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
