Webley & Scott No.1 Mark "I" Flare Gun
Description: The Webley & Scott No 1. Mark I Flare Gun was a project for the Royal Flying Corps in 1914-1918. These flare guns were used in World War I and in the early stages of World War II. After World War I they were surplus and sold to Police Agencies in the United States. Please note photo of J. Edgar Hoover holding an example of this gun. This style of flare gun has had a second life being highly sought after by Star Wars fans as a modified version of it is used by Boba Fett. This Webley & Scott was assigned to US Naval Air Station Tongue Point in Oregon which was deactivated after WWII. Tag is still attached. This flare gun is found to be numbers matching, including the extrator. Nickel finish is worn in areas. Crack in stock follows grain, but is quite repairable.
