The Sig Sauer P320 pistol is one of the most popular pistols on the market, with dozens of models being developed to fulfill the various requirements found in competition, self-defense, law enforcement, and military roles. The P320 Spectre Comp Blackout is one of Sig Sauer’s top-of-the-line pistols and is one of the most advanced pistols to come from the Sig Custom Works. It was designed to be a unique blend of competition and carry pistol. Similar to the XFIVE Legion, the Spectre Comp Blackout features a modified version of the TXG Full-Size XGRIP tungsten-infused grip module. With this frame, the pistol weighs in at 41.8 oz. with an unloaded magazine. The idea behind the TXG line was to create a series of frames that possessed the weight of a steel frame but the flex of a polymer one. This weight helps reduce muzzle flip by half compared to standard polymer-frame pistols of similar size. This is an important consideration for target shooting competitions. The modifications made to the standard XGRIP Module by the Sig Custom Works are a series of laser-engraved grip surfaces on the frontstrap, backstrap, and the sides. These offer an improved grip compared to the standard XGRIP module and ensure that the shooter has full control of the gun at all times and under any conditions. The trigger pull of the Spectre Comp is reduced by about 30 percent compared to a standard P320 thanks to the trigger being skeletonized. This also increases the shooting speed of the pistol if the user does their part. To a small extent, the mag-well adaptor also functions as a pistol weight and is removable. It is important to remember that with the mag-well adaptor installed, 17-round magazines with the standard baseplate cannot be used, only those with the smaller baseplate. The slide of the Spectre Comp is custom designed by the Sig Custom Works and features custom engraving, lightening cuts, special serrations in the slide, and an optic cut, The latter has a PRO-compatible footprint. It will accommodate the Sig Sauer Romeo1Pro and Romeo2 red dots as well as the Delta Point Pro and Trijicon RMR. Unlike the standard full-size P320 with 4.7” barrel, or the XFIVEs with their 5” heavy bull barrels, the Spectre Comp uses a shorter 4.6” threaded barrel, the same one used on the AXG Combat and XCARRY Legion. Unlike those pistols which ship with a thread protector, the Spectre Comp comes with a special single-port compensator already installed at the factory. This device significantly reduces muzzle flip and felt recoil. Sighting is done via a set of XRAY3 Day/Night Sights, with sight radius being an excellent 6.5 inches, thanks to the front sight being mounted near the front of the compensator instead of on the slide. Total length of the pistol is 8.5 inches, height 5.8 inches, and width 1.6 inches. This new-in-box Spectre Comp comes with two 21-round magazines.
