Description: Here is a beautiful Colt 1911 Model 1918 WWI reproduction chambered in .45acp. With roughly 4400 manufactured, this Colt is an accurate reproduction of the Model 1911 US military sidearm that was manufactured in 1918. This pistol features a 5" barrel, GI components, WWI roll marks, checkered hardwood grips, and Carbonia blue finish. The Carbonia blue finish is in excellent condition across the entirety of the firearm with the exception of a small handful of extremely light handling marks, and light freckling on the mainspring housing. The WWI roll marks are incredibly crisp and legible, and the checkered hardwood grips fit very nicely to the frame. The grips are in excellent overall condition with the exception of one small imperfection on the left grip panel. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and all the controls function 100%. Included with this pistol is the original cardboard box, wax paper, and one additional magazine. This Colt is an excellent representative piece of WWI history and would make an outstanding addition to any collection.
