Scarce Colt “Pre” Woodsman .22 Automatic Tgt Model C. 1918
Offered here for sale is a very fine opportunity for the Colt collector to obtain a very scarce and early Colt Woodsman auto pistol. This specimen, serial number 5012 is ALL ORIGINAL. Made circa 1918 this early 1st Model specimen is consider a “PRE-Woodsman” as it does not have the model “Woodsman” stamped on it. It is also an early model with a 6-5/8” “pencil” barrel. In addition, it has original factory diamond checkered wood grips. The gun does not appear to have seen much use and we would rate it 99%+ original blue with only a slight wear mark on the left side muzzle end. Just a bit of dust showing in images. The bore is about MINT as are the grips as well. The pistol has an original 10-shot factory magazine that goes with the pistol. A very scarce and difficult to find early collectible Woodsman in “any” condition” – this has the combination of condition with early manufacture.
