32467- RARE COLT BLACK POWDER 2ND GENERATION ENGRAVED & GOLD BANDED NO. 5 TEXAS PATERSON REVOLVER NEW IN ORIG. FACTORY BOX. Scarcest of all the 2nd Generation Black Powder Colts with only 150 manufactured with this one serial number “046”. Five-shot .36 caliber with 7 ½” octagon barrel with loading lever. Correct to the period Colt factory floral scroll engraved with double gold bands at the barrel muzzle, on the cylinder and a single gold band on the recoil shield and breech of barrel. Barrel with correct “PATENT ARMS MG. CO. PATERSON, N.J. COLT’S PATENT” barrel address. Walnut grips. “STAGECOACH HOLDUP” cylinder scene. All true to form of the original No. 5 Texas and closely modelled after original factory engraved No. 5 serial number “759” illustrated on page 35 of the late Larry Wilson’s “THE BOOK OF COLT FIREARMS”. In unfired condition and 100% original in every respect. With its original two-piece Colt factory box. $8700.
