1911 Colt Model 1905 45 Rimless with a 5 inch barrel. This is a late shipped Model 1905 that went to Seattle WA January 31, 1911. A colt archive letter is included to authenticate it. The original finish remains in very high condition. It's still retains a deep dark shine throughout. The fire blue small parts are also brilliant throughout. The leading edges are sharp. There are a few areas of light and scattered wear the most predominant being on the grip straps. That being said even the grip straps themselves are way above everage. Overall the finish rates 95%. The bore is mostly bright with strong lands and grooves. It shows a few areas of light and patchy frost. The bore rates an 8 out of 10. The slide to frame fit is tight with zero wiggle. The chamber area is very clean. The factory grips are flat out exceptional with almost all of the checkers remaining sharp with just a few minor flat spots. This is a pistol that you could look for for years and not find a better example.
