Colt World War One Issued 1911 Pistol In Original Condition
Description: This Colt pistol was produced in 1917. The pistol's serial number is 216267. It has the correct original H P coded barrel. This barrel is in very fine bright condition with sharp lands and no pitting. The slide is in very nice condition with about 96% of the original blued finish. There is some high point wear from holster use. The only real blue loss is by the front sight. On the left side of the sight by the base is a spot of blue loss. The frame is in very fine condition with about 95% original bluing. The area of the front and back grip strap there is some ageing and browning. That is due to the weak blue finish that was done during the war years. The grips are in very nice condition. The checkering points are sharp with very little flattening. There is no cracks or wood loss to the grips. The original two tone military magazine is in near new condition. The action is tight and locks up snug. This is a very nice all original as issued Colt. This pistol certainly is in the collector grade of these W.W.1 pistols. It is very difficult to find World War One 1911 pistols that have survived in very nice original condition!
