1988 Vintage Ultimate Bright Stainless Colt Mk.IV Series 80 Government Model .45 ACP Pistol w/ Custom Stag Grips **SOLD**
Description: This is a beautiful factory "Ultimate" Bright Stainless Steel Colt Mk.IV Series 80 Government Model with exceptionally nice custom Stag grips. It was manufactured in 1988 and remains in like-new condition, having been fired very little if at all since leaving the factory. The Colt Mk.IV Series 80 Government Model was offered in Colt's "Ultimate" Bright Stainless Steel from 1986 until 1996. This full-size 1911 model features a mirror-bright polished finish and full stainless steel construction. This particular example is in beautiful shape, with the bright stainless finish rating 98% plus. The only deductions come from some very tiny handling marks visible only under close inspection. The bore is minty and pristine, with perfect sharp rifling and no visible imperfections. The custom Stag grips are perfectly suited to the pistol and fit it nicely. The Stag grip panels show some nice bark and color that compliment the mirror-like polish of the pistol well. The action on this Colt is smooth and slick, and the frame-to-slide fitment is superb. All of the controls work 100% like the day it left the factory, and the trigger is quite good, breaking with a light pull without any grit or slop. This handsome Colt comes with one factory stainless steel magazine with a factory-polished floorplate that perfectly matches the gun. If you have been looking for a Colt 1911 for your collection that will make a superb display piece and perform well as a long-term investment, this 1988-production Ultimate Bright Stainless Steel Mk.IV Government Model would be an excellent choice.
