Colt Woodsman 1st Series, Factory Furnished Adj., Sights, Cal. .22 LR, 1940 Vintage SOLD

Description:
Colt Woodsman 1st Series fitted with a 4 1/2 inch barrel, factory furnished adjustable sights, checkered walnut grips, horizontal serrated main spring housing indicating use of high velocty ammunition, is blue finished, and chambered in .22 LR.  This 1940 vintage Woodsman is in excellent plus condition, retaining 98-99% of its original blue finish, showing minimal thinning on sharp edges of the frame and slide.  The bore looks as new and the action is tight and functions perfectly,  All screwheads are unmolested, including the small adjustment screws on the sights.  The grips fit perfectly and are in like new condition.  The magazine is also in excellent conditon, retaining much of its original blue finish, with minimal thinning.  Sorry, no box or paper-work.  Comes with a Colt factory letter stating pistol was fitted with the 4 1/2 inch barrel, furnished with the adjustable sights, and shipped to Harper & Reynolds Corp. of Los Angeles, California on March 29, 1940.  A very rare and attractive variation of the Colt Woodsman 1st Series.                                                                       PRICE:   $1,800              We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974.                    PH. 859-276-1419         We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives.    Have a Individual Firearm,  Firearms Collection, or Firearms Estate to sell, let us know, we can buy or consignment sell it for you.                   NOTE:  No additional fee for a Credit Card payment.
