Description:
Presented here is a Second Issue Colt Woodsman Sport Model semi auto pistol chambered in .22 long rifle. The Colt Woodsman is a semi-automatic sporting pistol manufactured by the U.S.Colt's Manufacturing Company from 1915 to 1977. It was designed by John Moses Browning. The frame design changed over time, in three distinct series: series one being 1915–1941, series two 1947–1955, and series three being 1955–1977. This particular example has had some finish wear over the years and it has some surface spots. The grips are in very nice condition exhibiting no cracks or chips. The barrel has a good bore with strong rifling. Fixed sights. Mechanically the pistol is in very good condition. Though not perfect this fine Colt Woodsman would make a great addition to an existing collection or a very cost effective way to begin a new collection.
