USMC Special Ops. / Force Recon Decommissioned Colt M45A1 .45 ACP Pistol w/ Original Box & Colt Letter

Description: This is one of the rare Colt M45A1 Close Quarter Battle Pistols that was actually issued to the U.S.M.C. Special Operations and Force Recon units prior to being sold commercially. The U.S. Marine Corps contracted the Colt firm to build these guns specifically to outfit their Special Operations troops, including their Force Recon units. These actual U.S.M.C. contract pistols were available on a very limited basis from Colt after buying them back from the United States Marine Corps. An "X" was engraved over the "USMC" lettering to reflect their decommissioning. This pistol features a Desert Tan Cerakote finish on a stainless steel slide and frame, a Mil-Std Picatinny rail forward of the triggerguard, a National Match barrel, front and rear slide serrations, a long solid aluminum trigger, an enhanced hammer, a beavertail grip safety with a palm swell, a Colt ambi-safety, a flat serrated mainspring housing with a lanyard loop, Novak 3-dot night sights, and Desert-camoflage G10 composite stocks. This particular example is serial number 05834EGA and is in excellent condition overall. The only deductions are from a few tiny handling marks in the finish only visible under very close inspection. The bore is minty and bright, and the grips are in like-new condition. It was obviously well-cared for when in service with the Marines. This Colt M45A1 pistol comes complete with the original factory box serial-numbered to the gun, one original-issue Wilson Combat 8-round magazine, and a Colt factory letter that was supplied with each of these special pistols.
