Offered for sale is a beautiful and near mint original WWII Colt M1911A1, Chambered in .45 ACP!! This Colt Government was built in 1943 and Issued to the US Military during WWII wearing both the US Property Marking and G.H.D. Inspector Stamps!! This example is in Great Condition showing only the slightest signs of handling with its original finish. Looks as if it spent its entire life in the holster, very little finish wear. Just high spots from the holster. Super tight frame to slide fit. Like new. All original Colt parts to include Colt Large ring grips and Colt barrel.. This gun is all matching as it should be!! Note, With a serial number of 1,726,XXX this was produced without a serial number on the slide under the firing pin stop. All parts verified using Clawsons. No mismatched parts. Magazine is also WWII contract and marked "R" for Risdon manufacture. The included holster is a "Sears" and dated 1942 so it is one year earlier than the pistol. Feedramp in the white. Serial numbers stamped after the pistol was parkerized indicating original finish. The pictures are an important part of the description so please make sure to look at them!!
