USMC Colt Model M45A1 Government Model .45 ACP pistol in the original serial numbered box with proof of military service letter from Colt. The first fielding of the Close Quarter Battle Pistol features a Desert Tan Cerakote finished stainles steel slide and receiver, MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory rail, National Match barrel, front and rear slide serrations, a long solid aluminum trigger, an enhanced hammer, an upswept beavertail grip safety with palm swell, a Colt Tactical ambidextrous safety lock, a flat serrated stainless mainspring housing with lanyard loop, Novak 3 Dot night sights, and Desert camouflage G10 composite grips. These were fielded by the USMC Special Operations Units and Force Recon. An "X" has been engraved over the top of "USMC" as required during the decomissioning process. This pistol is in excellent condition. The Cerakote finish shows little wear only on the high points of the slide serrations and one small a scratch exists on the front strap near the magazine well. The bore shows wear but is bright and has sharp clear rifling, a testimate to the strindgent cleaning standards of the USMC operators. This is a unique piece of military history and an excellent demonstration of the quality of firearms produced by Colt for the United States Marine Corps.
