This Colt was shipped to Transportation Officer, Springfield Armory between June 23 - August 3, 1943. It features all the right and appropriate markings, and It is all period correct, based on our thorough inspection! The original Parkerized finished has turned to a nice paying over the years... It's marked G.H.D for Guy H. Drewry, Brig. General inspector mark. Correct barrel with "Colt 45 Auto", "P" on barrel lug, and "f" on bottom (see pics), with very nice bore condition. It comes with genuine WWII magazine made by Risdon Tool and Machine Co. We have inspected this gun thoroughly, in and out, and all parts are fully functional!! It has serial number under the firing plate, as expected, matching the one on the frame!
Original correct Coltwood plastic stocks with mold numbers, wide rings, and strengthening ribs, in outstanding condition! The action on this pistol is crisp and it operates flawlessly!
