Description:
1913 Springfield / Colt 1911 Arsenal Redone into National Match. Based on the serial number this gun was manufactured in 1913. The slide has Patented Apr. 20 1897, Sept. 9 1902, Dec 19, 1905, Feb. 14 1911. Colt's PT. F.A. MFG CO. Springfield Armory USA. Flaming bomb marked. The other side of the slide has the Eagle and Model of 1911 U.S. Army. No 24993 serial number. It was arsenal redone into a National Match pistol. A higher front sight was brazed onto the slide. There is discoloration on the slide from the brazing. The rear sight was added. Stippling was done on the front and rear of the grip. The barrel reads 45 Auto NM 7791414. The barrel bushing has 7267717 NM stamped on it. The tongue on the magazine has G stamped on it for General Shaver.
