1913 Dated Colt 1911 WWI Fine Condition with Holster

Description:
Pre-War Colt Model 1911. 1913 mfg. date .45 acp SN# 67436 This pistol served in the New York State Militia.
It was a shipment of 1,000 pistols sent to Adjutant General, State of New York, New York City on 18-March-1914. (Ref. Charles Clawson). This issue pre-dates WWI (Jul 28, 1914 – Nov 11, 1918).

Fine condition with sharp roll marks and correct inspection markings. Rampant colt insignia rear of the slide serrations. Cartouche of “WGP” (Walter G. Penfield Maj., USA 1909-1914) and proof marks “H” (Francis L. Hosmer). Includes unmarked period swivel holster which came to me as a set. Along with the period magazine.

Beautiful coloration and brown patina overall. Excellent condition metal and grips with minor wear.

Acquired from the collection of Ross Beard of Camden S.C., an avid collector of Law Enforcement and Military firearms.

Comes shipped in wooden display box as pictured.
