Serial number 568010. Made in 1943. 32 ACP caliber with a 3 ¾" barrel. Gun is in mint condition, unfired still coated in cosmoline. This gun was issued to Colonel John Arrowsmith who later was promoted to Brigadier General. General Arrowsmith was in the United States Corp of Engineers in the China – Burma Theatre operations during WWII. He led the outfit responsible for building the Ledo Road. Accompanying this gun is the original shipping box with the original shipping document addressed to Colonel John Arrowsmith. Also accompanying this gun is a letter from the grandson attesting to his grandfather’s ownership of this gun. General Arrowsmith is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Very neat General Officers Colt 1903!
