An Early & Rare Civil War First Type Sharps Breech Loading Single Shot Pistol In Fine Untouched Condition. Serial # 349, only 500 made from 1854-1857. All original and complete. Made in .31 caliber. The pistol has fine metal, markings, and edges. It has excellent "SHARPS PATENT" markings inside an oval stamp on the backside of the gun. All of the metal on the gun has a fine untouched plum blue patina on it which is mixing with lots of original factory color throughout. It has nice screws throughout. The original walnut grips are excellent & full with a fine grain throughout them. It has a very tight action and a fine bore inside it. This Is A Very Fine Original Example Of An Early & Rare Civil War First Type Sharps Breech Loading Single Shot Pistol Serial #339!
