Superb Early T Series Engraved Browning High Power Pistol Deluxe Cased
Description: Superb Ultra Rare Early T Series Engraved Browning High Power Pistol in Deluxe Casing Offered here for sale and just acquired is this early “T Series” Browning classic High Power auto pistol. The T series, which was the first external extractor BHP is considered to be the best of the BHP in terms of fit and finish. The real difference in the T series compared to later runs is that specimens received a lot of hand fitting and polishing which ended in 1970 when the polishing was done by machine. These pistols make find and accurate examples for shooting enthusiasts but have becoming much in demand as far as collector value is concerned. The T series ran until approximately 1972-1975. Most collectors cite 1969 being the last year of the T series. This Belgian made example Exhibits very deep deluxe engraving overall which gives it the appearance of being in high relief. This specimen, serial number 261XXX Is all original and has the original factory walnut checkered grips which are colored red on the inside of the panels. The overall appearance of the pistol is quite striking. The condition of the pistol overall is in 99% condition as it has only some very slight toning on the left side of the receiver above the Browning stamped address and a bit of speckling on the lever underneath. The factory Browning walnut casing with green interior is in find condition as well with a few marks. Certainly a pistol designed as a deluxe presentation piece which should make a fine addition to any Brown ing collection – or for that matter any collection of fine firearms.
