1968 Vintage Browning Baby .25 ACP Pistol w/ Pouch & Owner's Manual ** Excellent Condition Original Example **

Description:
This is a beautiful little Browning Baby .25 ACP pistol made in Belgium in 1968.  This Browning Baby is 100% original and comes complete with the original factory zipper pouch and the original owner's manual.  The Browning Baby was first introduced in 1931 and remained in production for over 52 years until 1983, with just over 510,000 manufactured.  The diminutive little semi-auto Browning Baby was designed as a pocket-carry self defense pistol and was a huge success for the FN / Browning firm, quickly earning a reputation for being extremely well-made and very reliable.  While the .25 ACP chambering does not have a lot of stopping power, it is effective enough at the close ranges that this little pocket pistol was designed for.  Today these Belgian-made Browning Baby models are sought-after by collectors and shooters alike, as they are valuable as a collectible AND as an effective concealed-carry pistol when you have to have a very small pistol.  This particular example is in excellent condition inside and out, and is 100% original.  The gloss blue factory finish rates 97 to 98%, with just a few tiny spots of finish wear/handling marks.  As you can see from the pictures, none of these deductions detract any appreciable amount from the exceptionally clean overall look of this Browning Baby.  All of the factory markings are crisp and clean, and the serrated top sighting rib is in perfect shape with no marring.  The 2" barrel has a mirror-bright perfect bore, and the polished exposed chamber area is still bright and pristine with no visible wear, staining, or pitting.  While there is no way to know for sure, this Browning Baby shows no evidence of being fired and has a pristine bolt face with no primer halo or visible wear on the slide.  All of the internals are also pristine and show zero mechanical wear on the moving parts.  The original checkered black plastic grips are both in like-new condition, free from any visible wear, cracks, scratches, or repairs.  Both grip panels are tight to the gun with no wiggle, and the grip screw has a perfect slot with no marring.  The 6-shot factory magazine is just as clean and free from wear as the rest of the pistol.  The feed lips are perfect and the follower spring is still strong.  The action on this Browning is slick and smooth but still tight, as this pistol has not even begun to be "broken in" yet.  All of the controls are in like-new, perfect working order.  We have no doubt that this Browning Baby will function just as well today as the day it originally left the factory over 53 years ago.  As mentioned before, it comes complete with the original black factory zipper pouch and the owner's manual.  The black zipper pouch has the Browning name lettered in gold on the exterior and a red lining.  The zipper is in perfect working order.  The Owner's Manual is in good shape as well, showing only a little storage wear to the exterior.  The 3rd page (New Gun Owner's Record) was filled in at one point with pencil which has faded to the point of barely being legible but you can still make out the serial number 424121, matching it to this pistol.  If you have been looking for a exceptionally clean and all-original Belgian Browning Baby .25 ACP pistol for your collection this 1968-production example would be an excellent choice.  They will never be cheaper than they are today, as these the prices for these have been rising every year since the 1990's.   NOTE: This Browning Baby IS C&R eligible as it is more than 50 years old.
