The barrel tips up for loading the lst round so that people who do not have strong fingers do not have to worry about cocking a slide. We've test fired this here using 22 short high velocity ammo. We do not know if it will function with std velocity or quite rounds.
We think the mag will hold 8 rounds with one in the barrel for a total of 9.
We encourage any unfamiliar with these to read up on them; they are held in high regard . Designed and lst made over 50 years ago.
