This Italian Army 9mm Corto (380ACP) Model 1934 is dated 1942. The 3 3/8"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. It has approx. 92% blue with grip strap loss and edge wear. The left side of the slide is marked P.BERETTA - CAL.9 CORTO - Mo1934 - BREVET over CARDONE V.T. 1942 XXI (The date repeated in Roman numerals with 1921 as the base year). The right rear of the frame has the crown over RE Italian Army inspection stamp. The right side of the slide and frame are stamped with the serial number, F87171. The right rear of the frame has a small oval inspection stamp with VU inside and the right front of the trigger guard has a rectangular inspection stamp with ML inside. The metal lined hard rubber grips, with the PB logo at the bottom, are fine with no cracks or chips. The action functions correctly. If you collect Italian or European military auto pistols the Model 1934 is a key piece. This is a fine example.
