Colt "The Woodsman" 1st Series, Cal. .22 LR, 4 1/2 Inch Barrel, Sport Model

Description:
The Colt Woodsman 1st Series was made from 1927 to 1947, with approximatley 112,000 manufactured.  These pistols were stamped "THE WOODSMAN" on the receiver.  The pistols were fitted with either a 4 1/2 (Sport Model) or 6 5/8 inch (Target Model) barrel, checkered wood grips,  were blue finished only, bottom magazine release, came with (1) 10-round magazine, and were chambered initially in .22 LR standard velocity, later after 1931, .22 LR high velocity.  This 1937 vintage Colt Woodsman is as described and is fitted with a 4 1/2 inch barrel, and chambered for the .22 LR high velocity round.  It is in excellent original condition, retaining 98+% of its original blue finish.  The grips are in excellent condition, retaining sharp checkering, with no cracks or chips.  The bore looks like new and the action functions perfectly.  All screw heads are un-molested, including the small sight adjustment screws.  The correct two tone magazine is beautiful.  Comes with its original numbered to the gun box, sight adjustment screw-driver, instructions manual, shooting suggestion pamphlet, and cleaning rod.                      PRICE:     $1,450            We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974.                    PH. 859-276-1419         We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives.    Have a Individual Firearm,  Firearms Collection, or Firearms Estate to sell, let us know, we can buy or consignment sell it for you.                   NOTE:  No additional fee for a Credit Card payment.
