The 9mm Kurz (380ACP) Astra Model 300 was made from 1923 through 1946. The German Army purchased 85,390 Model 300 pistols (63,000 in 9mm Kurz and 22,390 in 7.65mm) between 1941 and 1944. This gun is one of them. The 3.5"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The gun retains approx. 97% blue. The top of the slide is marked with the round ASTRA logo at the front and UNCETA Y COMPANIA S.A. over GUERNICA ESPANA on the rear. The right rear frame has the German Army Waffenampt of the eagle over WaA251 and the left rear of the slide and frame have the expected Spanish proofs. The checkered wood grips are excellent with the left having a small bruise toward the bottom. The action functions correctly. This fine example of the German Army Astra 300 is ready for a WWII Spanish, German, or European automatic pistol collection.
